I have bought me an c25/c35 cabel shown in the tweakers topic routerhacking part deux.

I've modified my edimax Br-6104kp with it and looks nicely.

But, when i use HyperTerminal i can see the routers output, but can't give it a command.

wires are white, red and blue connected to 1, 7 and 8. ( like said in the topic)
settings com1 11520 8 no 1 hardware ansi

is my cable not ok or is it software.

Hi pabilo and welcome to the forum

I would tip on the cable.....if you can see the output then your almost there.
Check the connection to the pin nr. 1

I checked and dubble checked but still no change. thinking to buy a new one.
in other toppics there talking about 4 wires . can you say or let me see what kind of a calbe is correct ?

I used a mouse cable with my circuit....maybe you need to check the connection between pins 7-8 and 4-6.

I'll have to update the schematic

today i had some time so i looked at my cable, and i found a little hole in it. This was my problem, cable is dead :S
I'm gonna buy a new one. Hope my com1 port still work :S
